Still creating PowerPoint Slides by Hand?

Are you still creating PowerPoint slides by hand? If so, the latest update from Microsoft may bring some joy to your life, as well as hours of free time.

Why is it so difficult to start a PowerPoint Slide deck?

If you’re like me, you’ll sit and stare at the screen for absolutely ages wondering what on earth you’re going to do next. You’ve got a Word file with all of the information that you need, but trying to transfer that over to PowerPoint in terms of layouts, slides you need, designs, bullet points, box sizes, etc. It can take absolutely hours. Or at least it used to.  With the latest update from Microsoft Copilot that is about to become a thing of the past.

How can I use Microsoft Co-Pilot to create a PowerPoint slide deck?

The new Copilot update lets you turn a Word document into ready-made slides in seconds. Just open PowerPoint, hit the Copilot button, and it’ll create slides straight from your text.

That’s right. No copying, no formatting, no stress.

Do I have to do anything?

Once the hard work is done for you, you’ve got full control to tweak things to your heart’s content.

Themes and layouts are still available if you want to change things, but to be fair, Copilot does a good job at getting the basics right, giving you the time back to spend tweaking on things that will polish the final result rather than build it.

That’s your Tech Update, more next week.
